Hotel Farini

Budget friendly, great location in central Rome

Pros: Great location only a ten minute walk from the colosseum and really close to the train station. Tram opposite, loads of shops, restaurants and bars nearby

Cons: It’s basic, its a budget hotel - as long as you’re using it as a base to explore the city and not expecting to spend loads of time in luxury, you’re fine.

We will come again for sure, thanks for everything.

Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect, 7 minutes from Termini station and 20-30 minutes' walk from all sights. The hotel is clean and the staff is commendable.

Cons: Everything was good.

Pros: The most I like that everything was close. You can walk and not use public transport

Pros: Fantastic location, only 5 min walk to the train station. Colosseum was very close and the Vatican only a 1 hour walk if you are active otherwise it’s Ubers/e-bikes or scooters. Room was very spacious and felt clean.

Cons: Bathroom smelled of urine. Also the shower floods the entire bathroom so left with wet floors for a few hours while it drains. Bathroom needs upgrading as didn’t feel clean when using it due to above. Fridge in room didn’t work.

Central / Quiet at Night / Comfy / Lovely Staff

Pros: Central location, yet quiet at night. Lovely and helpful staff. The real comfy mattress and the memory foam pillows were greatly appreciated. Ideal for a short stay.

Cons: It's not a complaint, per se, but a bigger TV screen, a shower curtain and a mop for the bathroom wouldn't be amiss.

Perfect for first time visitors

Pros: The location is perfect for first time visitors to Rome, literally 3/4 minute walk from Roma Termini station, about a 10 minute walk to the colosseum, 20 minute walk to the Trevi fountain and Pantheon. We took a taxi to the Vatican City as it’s around 2 miles away from the hotel.

Cons: It’s very hard to find, the photos lead you to believe there’s a hotel sign outside which wasn’t present, it was a little sign on the door bells which wouldn’t have been noticed if I didn’t look.

Great small hotel

Pros: A small hotel which was within walking distance of many attractions and the Termini station - great for when we had to get the metro to the Vatican. The interior is older but the room was a good size and clean.

Pros: Thank you for all and thank you for very nice receptionist young man. It was very nice trip in Rome and I will come back, soon as possible :) .

6 Nations Rugby - Italy were flying!

Pros: The hotel was great, and the kitchen well stocked for a DIY breakfast. Lots to like. Perfectly clean, enough towels and soap etc.

Cons: On arrival in Rome we got a message to say the booking had been cancelled. We were not happy! However on talking to the owner she offered an alternative location. She then met us at the original address, and we drove 10 minutes away to the other hotel. It was fine. Why she didn't just send us a change of address without giving us so much stress I don't know. The new hotel was a little further away - but not too bad. Apart from the hiccup at the beginning it was all fine.

Excellent Family break in Rome ♥️

Pros: Very close to the Station and I love the Area in St Maria Maggiore....Staff exceptionally helpful ♥️

Cons: Elevator a bit too small ,,,but I understand that it is not a modern building....We were fine because Farini is on 2 Nd floor ....So not too many Stairs.
