Hotel Forte

A delightful hotel base for whatever one wants to do in Rome!

Pros: It is a comfortable hotel. The staff are great and very helpful, and the hotel’s situation is near good restaurants and shops (the Spanish steps are close by).

Cons: Nothing really - the shower took some getting used to, but was no problem.

We had a wonderful stay. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful. We can’t wait to go back.

Pros: The rooms have recently been renovated beautifully.

Pros: Fantastic location . A stones throw away from the Spanish steps . A very short walk from trevi fountain. Staff were very friendly. Hotel was very clean . Felt very safe and secure in a really nice neighbourhood.

Cons: There was nothing to complain about.

Pros: Location excellent neat Spanish Steps in good neighbourhood for quality restaurants, shopping and Metro. Staff superb.

Cons: Rooms very plain after renovation. Clean and bright but not as much old world charm as featured in the photographs. We did not mind the 28 steps up to the hotel (hotel is on the 1st Floor) but if you were less mobile this could be an issue. There is a lift but it is old and slow!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in Rome made all the better for staying at Hotel Forte.

Pros: The hotel was in a great location. All the staff were very helpful and the breakfast had a wide variety of choice. Our room was tidied and fresh towels everyday.

Cons: Initially no yea or coffee making facilities but this was quickly remedied by the staff. Also the shower was a little confusing to use and when we asked about this we were given a sheet of instructions. It would have been helpful to have had a copy of these already in the room on arrival. This was a minor inconvenience though.

Location location location!

Pros: Location location location! An easy walk to Spanish steps and Trevi fountain, and to a main shopping street, and so much more. The hotel street itself is a gem, picturesque with the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the city, very attractive inside, good service and a creative menu. The hotel is absolutely fine and reasonable considering the location, 24 hour concierge, free tea and coffee and a hearty breakfast if desired. I would go there again.

Cons: Alas there was hotel painting and construction! But that’s life.

Pros: Excellent location near spanish steps, public transport and shopping. A good, safe place for visitors and hotel employees were very kind and helpful.

Pros: Fantastic location, close to several piazzas, shops, restaurants, 10-20 minute walk to most attractions and located just off the main road on a pretty cobbled street. Very safe and secure building and location. Small elevator is convenient. We had a newly renovated room located in the corridor right behind the reception area, and conveniently right across from the Breakfast room. Large variety of breakfast items included in the price. The staff were exceptional - so friendly and willing to help to accommodate. Nice plush bathrobes, slippers and toiletries were provided. We received a nice bottle of wine in our room upon check in which was a nice gift.

Cons: Not a single negative comment on this location. It truly was a great place to stay. I would stay again.

Brilliant location, great staff

Pros: Location was excellent. Staff on reception, particularly the gentlemen with shoulder-length fair hair were fantastic, made us feel welcome, very friendly and helpful.
