A great base for exploring Rome

Pros: Proximity to Collosseum and metro station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was newly refurbished with a great bathroom. Clean and a good size.

Pros: Great location, loved the detail from housekeeping for my child - surprise “Trudy” bear and tiny toiletry kit. Breakfast was great.

Cons: Paid for half board, dinner is not worth it at all, from all aspect you van think of. Tried to cancel and get a refund for the days still ahead, but they said they couldnt give the money back as it was prepaid…I wasnt in the mood to argue.. I asked the housekeeping on two consecutive days to change the soap dispenser in our room as it was not working, they couldnt manage it. One day hk took our towels, but forgot to bring clean ones back. The restaurant had no cutlery for kids, highchairs were really dirty on all the days we stayed.

Comfortable, good breakfast, clean, good location.

Pros: Very comfortable bed, good breakfast. A kettle and coffe/tea set in the room. Clean. Good location, close to the Colosseo. Quiet if you have a room to the patio otherwise you can hear street noise throughout the night.

Cons: Water only to pay (in a minibar).

Very well run and friendly hotel in a great location for seeing the sights of Rome

Pros: Great location near Metro, eating places, shops and many major attractions

Cons: Breakfast should be included in price especially after paying extra per day for local tax. Stronger main light needed in bedroom. Fully accept hotel undergoing refurbishment but need for comfortable lounge bar.

Very good hotel experience

Pros: The reception staff was very nice from the beginning and really tried to help us with everything. The breakfast was very delicious.

Cons: The elevator was very small and old, it could hold 3-4 people without bags. Also, the room was very old looking but it didn’t bother us that much. The cleaning staff would talk loudly in the hallway early in the morning.

Very clean hotel, good location very friendly helpful staff.

Pros: We booked 1 room for 4 of us and were delighted to find that the room could be divided into 2 rooms each with its own bathroom by an interconnecting door. Location was quite good on the corner of a metro station within a 10 min walk to the main train station, and in the other direction 10 min from the Colosseum. There are very nice Cafés and restaurants in the immediate area.

Cons: Bar and lobby area was very basic but I could see this was being addressed with on-going refurbishment works.

Always happy with Best Western and this didn’t let us down

Pros: Room was very large with nice decor, large window not overlooked. The ladies at reception were fabulous, really helpful and cheerful. Air con, kettle and fridge - very happy Good location, not too close to station so felt very safe, and about 750m from Colosseo

Cons: I booked the room months in advance and stated we had 2 bicycles that we required storage for several hours after check out. They confirmed our request, however when we arrived it became apparent it hadn’t occurred to them that we would have the 2 bicycles with us at the start. Luckily they didn’t mind us taking them to our room which was large enough.

Pros: We only spent one night at this hotel but I would certainly consider it for a future trip to Rome. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Cons: Some of us took breakfast at the hotel - it was a bit expensive for the choice provided.

Pros: Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Location was close to public transport. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Hotel was modern. Highly recommended.
