Colosseo Guest House

If I return to Rome, I will consider this accommodation.

Pros: It was my first experience in a guest house, and I can say that I really enjoyed the concept and the experience. The guest house is well located, has a beautiful view from the balcony, there were no cleaning problems. Ah, I also loved the touch of the coffee machine.

Cons: It would be good if the kitchen had a microwave cover to prevent mess in the microwave, deep plates for soups/cereals, and some dish towels for cleaning/rinsing dishes and for cleaning the kitchen counter. Another thing, the cleaning service always left the balcony door open, meaning cold air came in, and also rain when it rained. Bags full of towels and sheets in the kitchen area also didn't make a good impression.

Pros: It was really close to the Colosseum. The room was lovely and clean. Communication with the hosts was prompt and easy, they were very accommodating. The room had everything we needed, would definitely stay here again

Fantastic Location, Lovely Room, Clean and Bright for a great stay!

Pros: The location was perfect for my stay being within walking distance to a number of Rome's fantastic sights, though to get to the Vatican jump on the metro which is just 5 mins away. My room which is really for one person was spotless, great little bathroom plus a balcony which I loved as it had the view of the Colosseum there. Although on the street which could be busy at night, the windows kept most noise out, so would definitely book this room again myself. With the shared kitchen that is stocked for coffee and well kept, guests can use the large fridge, microwave or kettle which I thought was a great benefit, especially if you had to take home half your delicious pasta or pizza which you couldn't finish.

Cons: The virtual check in and entrance system felt a little daunting, and there were a couple of times where I had to call the number given for any issues because something didn't seem to work. But no fear as Lorenzo, who I have to say was extremely responsive, clearly explained where I was going wrong and made sure I was taken care of. So if in doubt just call the number and be assured someone will help almost immediately. Other comments have mentioned that the walls are a little thin between other rooms which I would agree. However, if you find others are noisy, whether it be a baby crying or people speaking loudly at unsociable hours, which was my experience across the 4 nights I stayed, if it gets too much just make those people aware because they won't know themselves how the noise travels.

Top Location! Neat and tidy

Pros: Best location it was incredible , pretty clean and tidy and good value .

Cons: All access to doors is through phone app which require internet . Wouldn’t recommend.

Great hotel but too dependent on a phone

Pros: In a fantastic location, gorgeous rooms and bathrooms, really clean and safe.

Cons: Difficult to get into and if your phone is on low battery like ours was you might run into trouble as the phone is needed to trigger the doors to open. Your phone becomes your key card which isn’t brilliant after a day out in Rome taking pics and using google maps. Our phone died on our way back and we couldn’t get in until we found a way to charge it.

An enjoyable stay at a perfect location

Pros: Property is so centrally located you cannot not like it. It’s 5min walk to the Colosseum - you can see if from where you stay. Lotsa nice cafes and restaurants in the vicinity that you won’t go hungry. It’s a nice room for 2 adults and 1 child for us, with proper sleeping space for everyone. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier by train and wanted to stow our luggages before heading to the Colosseum (we booked our tickets ahead of time). The hotel manager was able to give us early access and we didn’t to think where to drop our luggage at the nearest points. That proved to be so beneficial when we were pressing for time juggling train arrival, taxi and check in. So thank you very much for the superb service.

Cons: There isn’t much i dislike about the property. The pre-check in instructions via the app seemed complicated but when you studied ahead of time, was quite easy to follow. We checked in without dramas and we were relieved.

Pros: Room was nice and comfortable, location was incredible.

Cons: Entrance process is a bit fiddly, but once you do it once, it's ok.
