Gorgeous, spacious 5 bedroom house on outskirts of Rome

Pros: What a wonderful stay - we had a 7 person family stay over Christmas and there were just so may positives that we’d be delighted to return. For those considering staying, I’d call a few points out: Facilities: the 5 bedrooms are very large and self contained. 3 balconies each separate and nice to sit out on. Two very large living rooms (fire is lovely) and a well stocked kitchen. Garden / pool area is beautiful and well maintained. Hosts: Emanuele just couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. From first contact right through to the end he was a real Italian gent. Location: it’s not in central Rome (it would be x10 the price if it was!), but it is on the Appian Way which is one of the highlights of Rome and has some interesting places on the doorstep (Catacombs, Parks, Aurelian Walls). Plus, because it is the Appian Way, transport connnections are good.

The perfect stay!

Pros: Villa Mara is a wonderful place to stay, very spacious with a homely feel. The location feels very special, tucked away just off the Via Appia Antica surrounded by beautiful trees and ruins, but only a 15 min taxi into the centre of Rome. The Villa, garden and pool are beautiful and very well maintained. We basically want to live there now! From a practical point of view the beds are very comfortable, the towels were thick, soft and there were lots of them. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with equipment and there are lots of comfortable places to sit and relax, inside and out. There are shops and places to eat within walking distance. And then you have the lovely hosts, who are so helpful and genuinely want you to have a great time, super people.

Charming Stay, Unforgettable Days

Pros: We spent a long weekend in Rome with a group of friends and truly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to stay. The house is absolutely beautiful – tastefully and lovingly decorated with so much attention to detail. Our host, Emanuele, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and was always available if we had any questions. From the warm welcome at our arrival to his helpfulness throughout our stay, we felt completely at home and well taken care of. Everything was immaculate, and the garden with the pool was simply a dream – the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. We would come back in a heartbeat and can recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Lovely villa on the outskirts of Rome

Pros: A lovely villa on the outskirts of Rome. It has Italian charm and an art collection, as well as lots of space inside and out. We all loved the unique ambience. Practically speaking, it's great that there are so many bathrooms — each room has its own. The villa is located in a quiet green area just 20 minutes from Rome by bus, and there is a nice restaurant nearby. The kitchen is well equipped with lots of different machines for making coffee in the morning.

Cons: The pool was closed during our stay, which was not made clear in the description. People started cleaning it while we were there. There was also an old, dilapidated hot tub on the first-floor terrace that should have been removed before we arrived. The bathroom on the top floor is beneath a sloping ceiling and the shower stall has only a plastic curtain. so it's difficult to avoid flooding the room while showering.

Ett fantastiskt och välutrustat boende med trevlig värd, perfekt för större sällskap som vill kombinera stadspuls med lu

Pros: Helt fantastiskt boende! Vi bokade huset för att fira min mors års 60 års dag och kunde inte vara mer nöjda. Vi bodde 8 personer. Stora sällskapsytor, bra utrustat kök, fin pool och underbar trädgård med både sol och skugga! Inredningen i huset var riktigt cool. Värdarna var mycket trevliga och tillmötesgående. Tipsade om både bra restauranger och sevärdheter. Boendet ligger ca 25-30 min från flygplatsen (kostar endast 60 euro med uber) och 20 min till coliseum (23 euro med uber). Perfekt för större sällskap som både vill ha stadspuls och lite lugn! Ingenting att klaga på!

Fantastische villa, met prachtige tuin op 25 fietsminuten van het centrum

Pros: Prachtige villa met alles erop en eraan. Sfeervol, Italiaans, grote keuken, aparte eetkamer, woonkamer, en de grote tuinkamer was ‘s avonds echt fantastisch. Prima bedden en badkamers. Alles netjes en schoon. Zeer grote en sfeervolle tuin met zwembad. Fantastische locatie op 25min fietsen van het centrum. Zeer geschikt voor grote gezinnen of 2 gezinnen. Zeer behulpzame en vriendelijke gastheer.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay, Emmanuel our host and his wife were so helpful in all our requests! Kitchen had everything we needed for our cooking needs. The home is beautiful and spacious, we had free parking in front of the house which was a plus because we were driving a big van. Location was great, close to where we needed to go to. Close to food market. The home also features a beautiful backyard where you can enjoy fresh air, sunlight and the landscape. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Rome with family!
