BB Il Re Alla Reginella Guest House

The BB II Re Reginella guest house and it’s surrounding area exceeded all our expectations.

Pros: The location was fantastic, quaint and quiet yet characterful with warmth and friendliness all within a short walk of some of the world’s best historical attractions plus a most splendid view from our beautiful balcony. We were also spoiled for choice with so many restaurants , arts and crafts shops fruit and veg shops and of course the obligators ice cream shops . We also felt very safe in this location.

Cons: Nothing at all could have been better

we liked everything

Pros: The location is excellent, central to all the attractions and approximately equidistant from all the major tourist sites. The living room has a fantastic view, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the bed is excellent. Gianni was absolutely wonderful; he helped us with our luggage up to the room and down the stairs when we left. You'll need to consider your physical condition, as it's on the 5th floor and there's no elevator. We enjoy active vacations, and this wasn't a problem for us.

Wonderful rooftop location in central Rome

Pros: Such a nice home away from home among the rooftops in Rome! Gianni was extremely welcoming and available in person during most part of the day, and online as well. The beds in the ´best' room, with our own bathroom and part of the balcony, were very comfortable. To be able to get breakfast whenever it suits added to the homey feel. The location was quiet and within walking distance of many tourist places. We would be happy to return next time we come to Rome.

Cons: As many have pointed out before, there are a lot of stairs to get to the Guesthouse, but it is worth it for the views and tranquility. You could sometimes hear other guests talking outside the room, but it did not bother us very much.

Unforgettable Roman holiday

Pros: Surpassed expectations. Characterful yet light and airy. The shared balcony was a tranquil spot to relax overlooking the rooftops of Rome. Gianni the host makes you feel welcome and always ready to assist. The use of a kitchen added to the comfort of our stay.

Unbeatable Views, Central Location, and a Warm Welcome

Pros: This B&B has one of the most stunning views I’ve ever seen – absolutely worth the stay just for that! I really loved the casual breakfast setup – no set time, you can just pop into the kitchen whenever you like and help yourself. There’s everything you’d expect from a good European city hotel breakfast: yoghurt, ham, cheese, juice, cereals, packed croissants, and a proper coffee machine. The owner is polite, friendly, and full of energy – they make you feel truly welcome and at home. The rooms are fairly average but practical, with loads of storage space and even a fridge included, which is really handy. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a relaxed stay with unbeatable views.

Cons: The B&B is on the 5th floor with no lift, so it’s a bit of a climb with luggage (though you really only do it twice). Also, as it’s a B&B, the rooms aren’t as soundproof as in a hotel – you might occasionally hear other guests if they’re noisy.

I'd go back. Felt like home. Even if its a place that is shared with others.

Pros: - The balcony view was awesome. Plenty of space and and comfortable seats. - There was plenty of snacks - The AC was working just fine and super well in the room - The kitchen had everything we needed. - Location: We could walk to and from the Vatican (1.5km) and the colloseum (1km). Small grocery store 200m away. - The owner: He was there in the morning(s), answered our questions, friendly, obviously cared about his place. - Out of 4 places we stayed at in Italy on our trip, this was our favorite place!

Cons: - 5 level up, no elevator. But honestly, compared to the rest, it became a minor inconvenience to us. - The shower's water was hot and cold. It wouldn't stay hot.

Very enjoyable stay!

Pros: The shared area is beautiful. The provided snack, drinks and breakfast was amazing! The balcony has a lovely view and we spent lots of time relaxing there. The location was ideal too. Air con too.

Cons: The room was small and at an angle so we didn't have much room.

Super walkable location

Pros: The location was fantastic. Easy walk to major sites including the Pantheon, Trastevere and Trevi fountain. About 1.5 km to Castel Sant'Angelo. Lots of places to eat nearby. We were able to walk everywhere. Lovely balcony and great air conditioning to combat the heat of Rome. Great self serve breakfast included.

Cons: Although we did not have a problem this place is not good for those with mobility issues. You have to climb 83 stairs to reach the unit.
