Pros: This lovely, quirky place is like an apartment with bedrooms in a wonderful old building . The rooms are really clean and comfortable. This place is not for you if you want the facilities of a big hotel but it is really good value. It is in a quieter part of the city , but still only about 20 minutes walk from the Trevi foundation and has plenty of restaurants and cafes. You are also just a few minutes walk from the wonderful Villa Borghese and gardens. We stayed here about 12 years ago with our 2 sons and felt really safe. The staff are wonderful and could not have been more helpful. They have really good recommendations for places to eat and visit. I would definitely stay here again.

Cons: These are not negatives for us, but be aware there is the reception area and bedrooms and that is it. You get a voucher for a coffee and pastry at a cafe around the corner for breakfast.

Pros: Absolutely loved this property! It was very clean and beautifully maintained. What really stood out was how much of the original building has been preserved from the doors to the window covers giving it a truly authentic, historic charm. It genuinely feels like you’ve stepped into an ancient building in Italy, but with a tasteful touch of modern comfort. The blend of old-world character and contemporary style is done perfectly. It’s also very arty, with so much personality throughout the space. A wonderful place to stay I would definitely come back!

Cons: The only small downside is that there’s just one set of keys provided. If you’re traveling with others, you always need to coordinate and be together when coming and going, which can be a little inconvenient.

Pros: An amazing place to stay. Very comfortable. Very clean. Staff were extremely helpful. If we go back to Rome this would by my first choice to stay.

Pros: The location was good, walkable to the Trevi Fountain and backing onto Villa Borghese. The hotel was on relatively high floor, but there was a small lift to take you up and down. The room came with breakfast at a nearby cafe.

Perfect accommodation in the heart of the city

Pros: The architecture of the building was amazing. It was unbelievable to stay in a historical heritage. The staff was perfect and easy to communicate. The room was very clean and the housekeeping worked everyday. The small gifts were very nice. The location was very convenient.

Cons: The breakfast was very weak. The cloth hangers should be wooden. The steel and plastic hangers do not suit its spirit. There was a bad smell due to the parquet polish. But these are small issues. The overall experience was perfect.

Pros: I had a great stay at Martina House in Rome. Martina and her boyfriend were excellent hosts—calm, welcoming, and very helpful throughout. They gave clear guidance on getting around and local tips, which made the stay smooth from start to finish. A big plus was their flexibility after checkout. They kindly allowed us to keep our luggage at the property instead of using paid storage, which made our final day far easier. The breakfast was excellent. Fresh, well-prepared, and a good start to the day. The property itself was comfortable, clean, and well looked after. Everything worked as expected, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I’d happily stay here again and would recommend Martina House to anyone visiting Rome.

The room was practical and comfortable, with everything needed for a short stay. The property felt safe and calm, and the layout made moving around easy. Breakfast was a highlight. It was well prepared, fresh, and consistently good each morning. Overall, the property was reliable, comfortable, and well managed. It met expectations and made the stay stress-free.

Pros: The location is beautiful - especially at Christmas time, and the staff are wonderful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We were perfectly comfortable during our stay. There are many lovely bars and restaurants close by, and a well equipped pharmacy around the corner. We look forward to our next stay.

Pros: The host was so kind and the property had amazing Italian architecture and design. Really beautiful and mesmerizing. The rooms were very clean and the atmosphere was very inviting, a lot of nature light into the rooms from the beautiful windows. The location was also very good. It’s little uphill compared to the city center but not a difficult walk at all. I will be staying here again on my next trip to Rome ♥️.
