Hotel Balilla

Pros: Close to main train/bus station, 20 min easy walk to Colosseum, stuff are really nice and kind.

Cons: Breakfast only have sweet food. And check in is only untill 23:00, we barely managed to check in because our flight was delayed. It would be nice to don't have pressure of making it at hotel untill 23:00 or you will sleep on the street.

Pros: Super friendly and helpfull. Perfect location, 15 min walk from main train station Termini, 10min walk from metro Manzoni line A which takes you to all attractions, Trevi, Spanish, Vatican etc, just swipe banccard at turnstil 1.5€. Accommodation and breakfast are basic but definitly value for money. We stayed 3 nights and I will return If I ever go back to Rome. Plenty typical restaurants around the block (without tourists), +/- 15€ for a plate.

Cons: We went end januari, the room has airco and heating, the heating works fine, the airco I cannot comment.

WAS A NICE EXPERIENCE

Pros: Liked the location. Was 5' from metro station Manzoni 2 stops away from termini. The staff was very kind.

Cons: Didn't have warm water the first day but the stuff helped us and fixed it

Comfortable and budget friendly, a great base for Rome near the station.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, spacious room. Good location near station.

Pros: The staff were really friendly and accommodating, it was clean, and it was nice and quiet. The room had an AC which worked fine. Only a 10 min walk to the metro and a 20 min walk to the colosseum and to the main train station. Good value for money.

Cons: The neighborhood was not the best. It looks a bit unsafe. Nothing happened, but next time we will stay in a different neighborhood.

Highly recommend as a good base in Rome - staff are lovely

Pros: Simple hotel, clean, lovely staff and the little roof terrace is such a nice spot to sit in the evening.

Lovely stay - check the reception hours before booking

Pros: The hotel is pretty and cozy and it gives you a nice feeling of privacy and safety. The room was very clean, equipped and the staff was very kind and helpful, the owner even gave us a little treat for the road after we check-out, really appreciated that! There are small restaurants nearby, the hotel is ~ 10-15mins walking distance from Termini Train Station, very convenient. Very good value for the money. If you land on Fiumicino Airport, we recommend you to take the train to get here. *If you're planning to visit Rome around 20-30th of June, check when the Festa di via Balilla is happening. If you love a nice street party, this is your place! If you'd love a good night sleep and want to book this place, consider to adjust the dates.

Cons: Not that we didn't like - but check the reception hours before booking! It's open until 11 PM. We panicked a bit, but we made it in time, 30' before closing. But if our plane had been delayed even for 15', we wouldn't have arrived in time for check-in. The owner, the receptionist are very nice and kind, this is their policy, we respect that, but it's good to think about that if you already have a late flight.

Pros: It’s great value for money! The room was cleaned daily and the staff was friendly and welcoming . Great location to get all must have locations

2nd visit to hotel Balilla hopefully will stay again.

Pros: Excellent location 10 min walk manzoni metro can travel easily to trevi spanish steps and Vatican,25-30 minutes walk colosseum . Clean comfortable rooms. Welcoming and friendly owner and staff.

Cons: I like everything about this hotel.
