Hotel was a great option as a base to explore Rome and relax afterwards, recommended!

Pros: Location and ambience were spot on. Hotel was a great option for a relaxed base to explore Rome. Everything was easy to reach, the staff were all lovely and I loved the decor. Recommended! Not cheap but Rome isn’t!

Cons: Wasn’t essential given it was February but I couldn’t make the air con run to circulate fresh air in the room. It didn’t bother me enough to ask reception so not important!

Excellent Hotel in an excellent location.

Pros: The Hotel Barbieri is exceptional! An incredibly old and beautiful palazzo made modern and comfortable without sacrificing the old world charm. We love staying there and will stay again when we return to Rome. Friends always ask me for recommendations in Rome. Hotel Barbieri is one of my top places to stay.

Pros: The hotel was excellent overall – clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The highlight of our stay was the outstanding staff, especially Nino and Daniela, who were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. An (almost) perfect stay

Pros: This hotel is located perfectly in the certain of Rome. Most of the attractions are a short walk away and the design of it is beautiful. A lot is untouched and you can tell a lot of care has been put into the place. I especially liked the receptionist TITO, who was extremely helpful, informative and kind.

Cons: We travelled with a 3 month old and I did not agree with some things. Firstly, a cot is a charge of 20 euros a night which I think is extremely high. It should either be free or a fixed price for the whole stay. The cot has already been purchased by the hotel, so I do not understand the charge for something that is clearly needed. My second gripe is that we had phoned the hotel a few weeks prior to ask if we could use the microwave in the hotels restaurant to help sterilize our baby bottles. This was an important factor to help choose a hotel and make the stay more efficient. The person on the phone told us it would not be a problem. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told is was not possible.

Great Hotel in a Fantastic Area

Pros: The location was great. Breakfast was really good. The front desk in the morning was fantastic!

Cons: After we arrived, we found that we needed another blanket. Instead, the person turned up our heat without asking. It’s forced air, which bothers my sinuses. So I had to turn off the heat again and call him again. If it had been earlier, it probably wouldn’t have been a problem, but it was almost midnight.
