Hotel Barrett

Quirky, friendly hotel in the heart of Rome 🇮🇹

Pros: Very friendly and welcoming. Alberto and the lovely lovely staff were so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The fridge of goodies was out of this world! Central location for everything. We were given complimentary wine, comprehensive explanation of the facilities, a map and a huge packet of local pasta when we left. Would definitely recommend and stay again if ever we went back to Rome.

Cons: The stairs but only when we had to carry our cases! Not a complaint at all.

Will definitely come back.

Pros: The rooms have literally everything you need: fully furnished with comfort elements (including a massage chair), kits of all necessary items, vanity kits in the bathroom, and more. BUT the absolute best part is that all drinks and food in the minibar and dedicated storage in your room are INCLUDED. You can enjoy breakfast whenever you want, directly in your room, along with snacks and drinks that will make your stay much more enjoyable.

Pros: Great stay at hotel barerett. Staff v helpful gave us room on the level fr my mam who wudnt be able fr stairs nothing they wouldnt help with. Lovely stay

Quirky, cool hotel like nothing I've stayed in before. Amazing

Pros: This little hotel is amazing. It is really central to all the main attractions that can be reached within 10-15 minutes walk. The hotel itself is very quirky and full of nicnaks, artifacts, statues and art. The staff are amazing. I asked them for a bunch of fresh flowers and proseccu in the room when we arrived and were met but a beautiful bunch of flowers and a lovely chilled bottle of fizz. The room is packed with food from baked treats, packs of salami, seranno ham, cheese, yoghurt, drinks, olives etc etc. These are replaced daily and this is all included in the price of the room. The room even has a hotdog machine which sounds weird but it was actually brilliant. The room also had a massage chair, foot massager and a foot spa!!! The room was a little small but we didn't mind as good things come in small packages. Our view overlooked some Roman ruins site as per image below I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic and quirky Italian experience

Nice stay - central location : great for a short city break

Pros: Very well decorated and beautiful rooms. Really nice to have continental breakfast included in the bedroom along with snacks included in the mini fridge. Fantastic location near to all attractions. Staff were really friendly & welcoming. Staff allowed to store luggage after checkout which was helpful.

Cons: Fresh Towels were put in the main bedroom on a a Chair but not in the bathroom, which I thought was a bit odd. Shower gel was placed in a pile on top of towels which was a bit irritating. Was a bit of an inconvenience having to hand in your room keys at reception every time you went out. Particularly when in a rush or need to leave promptly. Although someone at Reception 24/7 to let you in through main gate. Hotel was a bit noisy late at night - if building work was going on or noisy guests - but it didn’t happen often.

Pros: You are in the heart of the eternal city..in the most alternative accommodation possible - it was amazing

Decent

Pros: Clean and comfortable. Close to Tonnarello and Nannarella. Best restaurants in Rome.

Cons: Very cluttered, barely enough room to sit in the lobby. Staff suggested a restaurant which was disgusting and we ended up sick after. Please only eat in Trastevere and definitely do not go to the suggested restaurant by the hotel. Probably some commission involved as I’m sure no one can eat there and recommend that.

A mixed bag. If you plan to be out all the time it’s fine.

Pros: Clean and great location only a short walk from Trastevere where the real Roman food is. Must try Tonnarello and Nannarella. Do not eat near the hotel.

Cons: Very cluttered, outdated rooms. My son was absolutely not happy with looking at angels with a pink face staring at him all night. It’s just the colour that made it weird. If breakfast is to be had in the rooms. They need more space. We were recommended a restaurant round the corner which was the most disgusting excuse of Italian food. Please do not eat there.

Pros: It’s super good location, the hotel is comfortable, beautiful, you can imagine yourself inside of the monuments, creating a super good environment and a wonderful experience. Super clean and the staff were amazing, always ready to help you. Was my sister’s birthday and she loved every single moment! Super recommend
