Gianicolo Penny's Garden a Roma centro

This was a comfortable and well-appointed home-away-from home for us.

Pros: Gianicolo Penny's Garden apartment was comfortable and well-appointed and suited us very well. The private garden that comes with the suite was a real plus. The apartment is well-located in a nice neighbourhood that offers grocery stores, pharmacies, wine shops and restaurants nearby. The bus into town stop right around the corner and we used this most of the time to get into and out of town. It's a walkable distance into town, but the buses are air-conditioned so we generally opted for that, since it was quite hot when we were there. Patrizia is very well organized, and provides a handbook with things to know about the apartment and the features of the neighbourhood, as well as restaurant recommendations.

Cons: The bathroom has three different levels, so may not be suitable for people who are unsteady on their feet. Also a caution to tall people - the bathroom ceiling slopes and my 6'3\

A truly charming apartement in a quiet neighborhood

Pros: We stayed a full week at Patrizia's place. It was so nice to come back there every night and enjoy some quietness after busy days. There was a homely atmosphere and, although we were only able to enjoy the garden once as it was quite cold during our stay, waking up with the birds singing was priceless. Finally, Monteverde is a lovely neighborhood to stay, away from the touristy spots yet well connected with the city center and other places. Staying here really made a big difference in our Roman holiday, so thank you Patrizia for sharing this beautiful place with travellers!

Cons: We knew from previous reviews the bathroom was odd so we weren't surprised. The shower is actually situated on the same spot as the sink. There are curtains to protect the rest of the bathroom though. And everything dries pretty quickly as the room is heated and ventilated. For us it was no issue at all, but if you're someone who needs spacious, comfy bathrooms, it might bother you.

Sehr schöne und gemütliche Ferienwohnung mit freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Vermieterin

Pros: Gianicolo Pennys Garden ist eine gemütliche Ferienwohnung in toller, ruhiger Lage. Einige Parks, die bekannte Restaurantmeile von Trastevere und die die Stadtteile auf der anderen Seite des Tibers sind gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Es gibt in der Wohnung alles was man braucht, sogar eine kleine Waschmaschine... Ein Gartenbereich mit Tisch und Stühlen gehört auch zur Wohnung. Patrizia hatte uns die Abholung am Flughafen organisiert, und war sehr engagiert dass der Bezug und der Aufenthalt in der Wohnung problemlos und entspannt war. Die Wohnung ist optimal für ein Paar. Wir würden jederzeit wieder bei Patrizia buchen!

Dreamy cottage vibes- enjoy Rome like a local.

Pros: Incredibly charming! Serene garden setting with high ceilings, dreamy curtains filtering light through soaring windows, toasty radiator heat (we started in November). All the nice things that make a vacation stay better than any hotel: a proper little kitchen, clothing washer, coffee maker, books, a welcome snack. Plenty of storage for clothing in a closet and antique dressers. A feeling of safety and serenity pervades. The garden beckons with a lovely seating area and patio lights. Easy walks to wonderful meals and coffee, markets, parks, metro stations, bus to the city center. The entire property oozes European charm. Host communicated wonderfully, a folder with maps, walking routes and more was very helpful (and in multiple languages). I feel a nostalgic longing to return- and would recommend as a romantic and cozy location to truly experience and explore the Eternal City in a special way.

Cons: The shower is a bit odd- but entirely forgivable as it’s a very old (but well cared for) building. It’s not even that I didn’t like it, just a different experience (and honestly not without its own charm!)

Beautiful and cozy

Pros: It was one of the best experiences we had with stays! Everything was so beautiful, cozy and organized. Patrizia cared so much for us. She was communicating with us all the time, it felt like we were part of the family. She left snacks and a lot of recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. The neighborhood is super quiet and absolutely beautiful. The garden and the house are so beautiful and organized that it makes you want to stay for weeks! The access to Trastevere and to the main attractions of Rome is easy. I recommend you to visit Villa Sciarra, the ancient wall of Gianicolensi, the fountain of Acqua Paolla and the Jianiculum hill while walking to the Vatican city (about 50 min walking). I hope we come back to Rome and stay here again

Cons: We liked everything!

Wie haben uns in diesem liebevollen Apartment mit einer tollen Gastgeberin fast wie zu Hause gefühlt

Pros: Ausstattung mit Geschirr etc. Liebevoll gepflegtes Apartment und Garten Kommunikation mit Gastgeberin Organisation der Anreise etc. Informationen als Beilage für Stadtbesuche, Supermärkte etc

Cons: W-Lan nur im Schlafzimmer Bett ein wenig zu hart Dusche und Toilette unterhalb Treppe ist lustig, aber nicht ganz praktisch

Pros: Erittäin siisti, yksilöllinen, viehättävä majoitus, jossa oli kaikki mahdollinen mitä ajattelisi tarvittavan majoituksessa, lomalla. Ystävällinen , huomaavainen ja auttavainen Patrizia, kiitokset hänelle.

Gemütliche Wohnung, wo sich man gut erholen kann und zu Fuss mit Aussichten Trastavere erreichen.

Pros: Unser Aufenthalt war wirklich sehr angenehm. Gastgeberin Patrizia hat die Adresse und Schlüssel Übergabe sehr gut kommuniziert und Sie hat such eine wärme Stimmung für uns geschafft. Es war ein ruhiger Ort und eine schöne Lag. Man kann zu Fuss sehr schöne Spaziergänge in die Altstadt geniessen. Empfehlenswert!

Excelente y Patrizia es maravillosa.

Pros: Patrizia es de las mejores anfitrionas que he conocido. Es amable, servicial, detallista y está muy pendiente de sus huéspedes incluso antes de llegar. El apartamento es muy mono y acogedor y tiene todas las comodidades que puedas necesitar (secador de pelo, plancha, lavadora, cafetera...) y el jardín secreto es muy agradable para tomar unas copas o cenar. Nos ha encantado y si volvemos a Roma seguro que repetimos.

Cons: Por poner algún pero diría que si no eres de andar y te molesta subir escaleras igual no es tu opción pero si no te importa hacerlo no creo que encuentres muchos lugares mejores. La cama y almohadas son blandas, hay gente que las prefiere pero a mí me gustan más firmes. Pero merece la pena!

Logement calme à Rome

Pros: Même si nous n'avons pas croisé Patricia, elle nous a beaucoup écrit et était très réactive, a envoyé des photos et vidéos d'où étaient les clés, etc. Très agréable ! L'appartement est sympathique, dans un quartier résidentiel très calme.

Cons: La douche est un peu exiguë. Le quartier est un peu loin et en hauteur, donc il faut marcher / monter des escaliers, mais c'est joli et calme.
