A lovely homey stay.
Pros: It was very local to all the attractions that Rome has to offer. We felt very safe in that location and felt comfortable with our stay as the facilities were always clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend this location for anyone wanting a safe stay close to the attractions.

Would definitely stay again!
Pros: Amazing staff, great location and super comfortable bed. We had a very happy stay (=
Cons: No noise at all from the street. But because the building is old, there were a bit of noise coming from other apartments sometimes. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea.

Perfect location
Pros: Had a very comfortable 4 night stay at Cola di Rienzo Inn and would recommend to anyone wanting accommodations near the Vatican. Location was outside the main hustle so the surrounding streets weren't swarming, but it was still accessible either walking, the Metro a few minutes away, or bus lines running just outside. Staff were highly communicative - we were running late to check in, and also requested a later check out which were both accommodated. The room was comfortable; actually functional air conditioning, serviced daily, had access to the shared kitchenette in the suite, and very quiet. The suite is at the rear of the complex so no noise from the street.

Apart from rude “concierge” and lack of organized reception, I liked my room; superb location
Pros: It is a beautiful building with the BEST location. Very quiet and clean.Eufemia the cleaning woman was lovely, extremely attentive and Hard working. The 98 steps to my floor were a good exercise, but I was regularly warned no to use the stairs as the marble stairs are slippery. Really some strips could be put on the stairs. I was very careful, recognizing the risk. Yes, the elevator is serviceable and I did use it occasionally..
Cons: The young man who received me,I have forgotten his name, checked me in and intervened in an unpleasant exchange with the taxi driver who would not accept credit card payment when I arrived from the airport. I had been assured that the taxi driver at the airport would indeed accept credit card. I was very upset as had no cash. The young man at the Inn helped me get the cash. Additionally, I was told at checkin that breakfast was included; I was given 2 cards to present for 2 mornings at Cafe Portofino. On the third day I was told that no, breakfast was not included. The concierge, the man with the glasses who pretends he speaks English was very rude, ignoring me and I did hear the word “ cazo” as he walked out of the building. A young woman stepped in and repeated in English that the breakfasts I was offered were Not included: a mistake had been made. She insisted I could not have another breakfast. A very bad resolution for a client and evidence of careless, disorganized management; also often there is no one in reception downstairs to ask for information. This is Not how you run a residence with paying foreigners if an uneducated, rude man is the only person one encounters at the entrance. He was often smoking and talking on the phone, making me wait for his attention. This was lousy and unacceptable behavior. Cola Di Rienzo, you can certainly Do Better
