Solo trip to Rome for the rugby

Pros: Nice quiet neighbourhood, very local and away from the tourist hotpots. Great cafes and restaurants nearby. Host was very friendly and took time to explain the best places to go.

Cons: Further than I expected to walk to/from the main station, sights and areas (maybe that's my fault).

Contemporary decor, breakfast a bonus 😊

Pros: Very clean, we liked the plain white walls, furniture and linen. Comfortable beds and pillows, the simple breakfast included was a bonus for the price and enough to set you up before heading out for the day. The area is very nice with local shops, a lovely bakery, an ice-cream parlour across the road and a couple of nice looking restaurants. Family life happens in the outdoor space next to the room at the back, it’s nice to hear Italian being spoken and the parakeets in the morning.

Cons: Whilst not far in distance from Trastevere where all the action is, the uphill walk home requires extra energy after sightseeing all day. We like walking but opted for an Uber back a few times.

Comfortable room in a quiet location, great to return to after a busy day.

Pros: Lovely room and friendly hostess. Quiet location but with a good bus service. Bonus of a fantastic ice cream shop over the road!

Pros: I really enjoyed my stay. The location was lovely and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I also appreciated the Italian-style breakfast and the cozy, intimate atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Very enjoyable stay

Pros: Very clean and comfortable rooms with a plentiful and satisfying breakfast. The location was good for reaching the popular sightseeing spots by public transport.

Pros: Good size room (but slightly small shower!), welcoming hosts, typical Italian breakfast.

Cons: If you do walk to the centre it’s about 45 minutes and there are a large set of stairs up a hill to navigate on the way back!

Pros: Angelina and her family are so lovely. The room was spacious, very clean, and the bed and pillow were very comfortable. Access to the small kitchen to cook homemade meals was appreciated.

Pros: Super friendly host who was the example of Italian hospitality and easily available to answer questions. She prefers to speak Italian but it is a great way to get some practice and still very friendly. Great Italian style (coffee, pastry) breakfast with a few extras (yoghurt, cereal) included. Also across the street from an amazing gelateria that is packed with locals in the evening.

Cons: Not a dislike, but important for mobility impairments - this neighborhood is located on top of a giant hill. Not suitable for those in wheelchairs or those who struggle with steps as there are a few steps up to the property.

Pros: excellent room and spotlessly clean. the area was the best. quiet with excellent food and picturesque. it is the second time in rome and I will choose this area again because it is very safe and has everything. you definitely have to be prepared for a lot of stairs. very friendly hosts.

Cons: the only thing I would change would be for the breakfast to have something salty and be a little richer.

Pros: Everything. Welcoming, owners were both lovely, helpful, room clean exactly what we wanted, breakfast added bonus and was great. Location is great, lovely residential area, rather than just hotels, near local buses which are cheap, nice to be away from the crowds. Would stay there again.
