Would definitely return when next in Rome

Pros: Sara, the owner greeted us and showed us around. Great communication. The apartment felt homely with a wonderful terrace. It had character. Comfortable and well equipped. Air conditioning very welcome after hot days in Rome! The location, Testaccio, is more residential so felt more “Roman”

Pros: Was nice and handy to local attractions, restaurants and markets and our favourite gelato store just over a block away The outdoor area was a great place to chill after a long day of exploring

Great value in authentic Testaccio

Pros: Mauro’s house has been in his family for 115 years. Big and spacious with a great roof terrace. Right across the road from Testaccio Market. Mauro could not have been more helpful and price was exceptional

Cons: Not the case.Watch out for the second bathroom, the one with a key, you can get stuck inside It's a good idea to take your phone with you in case this happens You must take the key with you in the bathroom

Great experience

Pros: Very spacious. You have everything you need in the house and many markets very close by. Also good restaurants in the neighbourhood, bars, etc. The terrace is also perfect to sit down and relax and have breakfast at.

Cons: Would recommend travelling with the buses or with the public steps / bikes to the city centre, as it is 2-3 kilometres distance (which can be exhausting in the sun).

Pros: The apartment was nice and more spacious than we thought. It was a nice surprise that the rooms were all separate except the kitchen. 2 bathrooms with showers was a plus. The balcony is very big and has many beautiful plants. It's a nice place to hang out. The host was friendly and made us feel welcomed. 😊 I could definitely come again when visiting Rome.

Cons: The elevator didn't always work on the ground floor. One of our companions has bad knees so that was sometimes a little inconvenient.

Lovely home with beautiful balcony

Pros: Great at place to stay, we loved the interesting decor. The staff running the place were very helpful. Beautiful balcony full of plants. Decent location, restaurants and shops in walking distance.

Cons: Toilet seat needed fixing.
