Great place, perfect location and price really comfortable

Pros: The location was great, in a really nice part of town and close to metro, buses and hop on hop off tours. Great bar/restaurant below. The room was comfortable but a bit small - great shower. Breakfast was fine, but no hot food Reception really pleasant and helpful and gave us a great tip on an area to visit for restaurants

Cons: Shower had a bit of black mold

Very comfortable boutique hotel in a quieter part of the city.

Pros: Excellent quieter location in City but very convenient for accessing other areas. Lovely bright room overlooking ancient wall with a very large bed and good shower. All supported by exceptionally helpful staff.

Cons: We were very happy with our time at the hotel.

Pros: A happy stay for us! We had to reject our first booking at the Spanish Suites upon arrival — we'd been totally fooled by their photos on booking.com, so quickly booked the Shire and they greeted us an hour later. Only 8 rooms at The Shire, all on the 1st floor, all exactly as presented online and tastefully decorated. Super clean, super welcoming, perfect AC, plenty of space, perfectly quiet and restful, and a very useful location for getting around Rome.

Comfortable little hotel in quiet location but short walk from all major attractions

Pros: Very comfortable room, conveniently located, lovely breakfast on the terrace

Cons: Bathroom quite small

Pros: Location was great,room very clean,bed made up every day new towels everyday. the breakfast was great

Cons: The air-conditioning could have been a little colder only went to 18 a bit picky but just one more degree 17 would have been fine. The shower room needs to be addressed the shower screens were far to small lots of water from splash all over the floor making the tiles very slippery had to put towels on the floor to absorb the water and stop it from spreading I to the bedroom a part from that absolutely fine

Wonderful and practical accomodation on Via Veneto.

Pros: I have stayed several times in Via Veneto and find that the rooms at the Shire are comparable to those of nearby luxury brand hotels. I look foward to returning in the future.

Good stay at Rome

Pros: Location was perfect, away from tourist crowd.Lots of restaurant around.Welcome wine and fruit plate was fantastic. Both room and bathroom was large and clean.Ladies at the reception was very helpful

Cons: Breakfast was not very rich but sufficient. Since the hotel is at first floor, the street noise was in the room,luckily the street was not too busy

Cons: - No portable heater if you need it - No iron and iron board - Not possible to dry clothes if you have a child - The price can be high
