Hostel Castello Maggiore

Pros: The host was amazing. He even shared his meals that he cooked. It was chicken biryani..my favorite. He's a kind and welcoming person. Also, he's always available to open the door no matter what time the guests arrive. The locker facility was good. The bedroom and common areas were clean. The kitchen has a stove and fridge as well. He even let me checkout a bit late ( almost 30 minutes late ).

Cons: The heating system doesn't work. And that's why the room was a bit cold.

Pros: The host was extremely welcoming, friendly, and always tried to assist us whenever needed. The room wasn’t very spacious, but it had all the necessary amenities. There’s also a kitchen area and even three bathrooms, which made everything very convenient. The location is close to the bus stop as well. Overall, they did an excellent job, especially considering the very affordable price for an expensive city like Rome.

Pros: The host is a great person, very welcoming and always in help. Showers are available as you need. The hostel is located in a good and accessible location.

Cons: Rooms are little bit tiny. Exchange and eating place is little bit tight.

Pleasant and convivial

Pros: Convivial, little kitchen with balcony opening on to the Porto de Maggiore, which the host explained used to be the doorway to the city way way back. What I liked is every mode of transport is visible from this balcony (tram, train, car, bus, foot)! 3 or 4 bathrooms which is good Host makes themself available and accommodating to you The

Cons: Very circulatory street with cars and tram but personally I like that, depends on your taste. Rooms are not the most spacious but for the price it's what you might expect.

Comfortable and cozy stay 😊

Pros: It was a cozy comfortable stay for the price range. The owner was really nice and friendly. He even shared some pasta he made.

Cons: There was noise coming from outside.

Pros: The value for the price is good for Rome, the staff is very nice, you get a small kitchen, there are 3 bathrooms, you can come to the hostel at any hour if you call them - i had a pleasant stay thank youu

Cons: Considering the fact that you are booking a cheap hostel (for Rome's standards) the value for money is great, but if old bathrooms grose you out this hostel maybe isn't for you.

Pros: Staff amazing, always keeping everything clean and tidy. Shower with great water pressure, bed comfortable.

Cons: One of the showers was broken, so the water did not work well

Pros: It was an amazing place to stay, beds and rooms are clean, is near to the coliseum, metro station and historic center, the personal is very friendly

Pros: Location is extremely good and especially the staff took care of everything,they are maintaining the stay super clean.best for tourists.

It's everything a hostel should be!

Pros: The hostel has everything you need. It's at a great location that's well connected to every part of Rome. They have comfy beds, lockers, hairdryers and even instant coffee for everyone! Mike was really friendly too :)

Cons: The bathrooms were left wet by other hostellers, but that's not the hostel's problem.
