Zidan Guest House

Pros: It was a very enjoyable place for the price! Me and my friend stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and was even offered the private bedroom which was very much delightful because we were worried at first about having to be in a mixed dormitory. Even though it was very cold at night, the bedroom is still comfortable if you're looking for a place to sleep for your travels. I read a few reviews about how it was in an old building and honestly, it wasn't even a problem. We had to pay for city tax when we arrived and I was able to pay by card since I did not bring cash with me. It was also very near to the Termini station and going to the tourist sites was easy because we can just walk. It's also very near with a cafe if you need to grab breakfast. They also have hot water + hairdryer in the bedroom, also free towel. Overall very recommended if you're looking for a budget hostel to rest!! Would definitely stay here again if I come back to Rome : )

Great

Pros: Comfortable, has can for each 2 people, good space in the kitchen and also the bathroom, has 3 bathrooms, reception is friendly.

Cons: The reception sleeps in the kitchen, so, we can’t used the kitchen all the time, the kitchen has a specific time in the morning, afternoon and evening.

Pretty okay experience.

Pros: Everything was simple and smooth. Cleaning was well.

Cons: The quality of the beds/showers overall was not top level but usable

Great location, comfy beds, friendly staff

Pros: It is really accessible from the central station and to several lines of Metro. The staff were really friendly and allowed me to leave my bag as I had arrived early. The property has an elevator, so it was really accessible at the end of a long day. It was really clean too as they clean it fairly thoroughly every day it seems. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with appliances. It was quiet too and there were fans in the rooms to keep you cool in the summer. Furthermore, I was on a top bunk and even that was reasonably comfortable. There are also two pillows on the bed: one firm and one soft, so you can sleep quite comfortably. Overall I really enjoyed my stay there and it was very seamless. I would happily stay again next time I am in Rome.

Cons: The is little to say for this part. All I really have to note is that even with the fans, it can still be a bit stuffy in the room. There is not much that can be done about this in the middle of summer except installing aircon, I think. Not a con, but important to note, after you check out they can store your bag for the cost of 5 euro, which is cheaper than apps like bounce. Another thing that is not a con, but important to note is that while they are cleaning, you can't be in the room.

Great budget hostel

Pros: Tbh everything was good. Free towels, bathroom that was cleaned every day, comfortable beds.

Cons: Location was great but be prepared for loud noise outside as its main roads but not the hostels fault.

Value for money

Pros: It’s a total package with kitchen and all the basic amenities

Cons: Location specially there was no board of Zidan outside so really difficult to find

Pros: Overall a really nice place, very clean and cozy, the staff is friendly, other travellers too. Could be a 10/10 from me easily, but there's a couple of quirks.

Cons: - Strange rules: the kitchen opens at 1pm only, between 11am and 1pm you have to be out of the hostel because of cleaning. I think it's the first time I encounter this in 30 or so hostels I stayed. - Staff sleeping in the kitchen until late morning is pretty awkward. Could be arranged so much better by turning a single bed in one of the dorms into a bunk and having him sleep there - better for everybody. - Wifi is fast, but in the room it keeps disconnecting.

Pros: 1. Perfect location 2. Best and friendly staff 3. Within a budget 4. Comfortable bed

Cons: 1. The kitchen was there (with microwave and tea and coffee service) but improved/ add-on by stove feature.

Basic, but clean and functional.

Pros: Very clean, secure, small kitchen with fridge freezer and enough for simple cooking. Very quiet. Good size dorm with lockers

Cons: Small common area, not much chance of meeting people but that wasn't important to me. One large light in room only. Bed lights would be good.
