Trastevere Dream House

Nicest place we ever stayed in Trastevere.

Pros: The apartment was very cosy and clean, suprisingly quiet, the furniture was very stylish. The beds were very comfortable, which is very important for us. Nice tea and coffe was available, everything worked, the communication was very effective and easy with our host. We love Trastevere and this apartment was at the best place.

Cons: Well, we shared the entrance with another apartment and it was very unpleasent when in the middle of the night people were coming in and out, opening and closing the doors. That noise was kind of disturbing.

Comfortable stay with a very helpful host

Pros: the location was very good the apartment was very cozy, warm and comfortable, while the host was in constant communication and very helpful

Cons: there was some noise from the outside and the neighborhood and the soundproofing was quite limited ,but we were aware of this in advance

Pros: Everything was great. Amazing apartment for a couple and in the best location in Rome. It is safe around and easy to walk to almost every big monument. The hosts were quick to answer and gave us detailed information to make our staying as easy as it could be.

Pros: Location is great with easy access to all sites and amazing restaurants nearby.

Cons: Noise at night can be an issue if you are a light sleeper but we were okay with it and the guest room description is clear about this. This is a lively area!

Lovely accomadation in a lively area 😍

Pros: A very lovely, spacious, and clean accomadation in a secure building with a lift. The instructions to access were given well in advance and were clear The location is in the heart of the best shopping and food area that's in the middle of all the action. The location also features a lovely 30-minute walk to tourist centres and monuments. Gulia left a very helpful locally illustrated book with many suggestions on how to maximise your stay in Rome as a local and / or tourist, which was much appreciated She also came by to check on how we were doing and to change over towels and see if we needed anything. Excellent amenities like coffee machine, tea, milk, juice, iron & board, hair dryer, body wash, shampoo, and more.

Cons: Unfortunately, we had shower issues, which we were informed of before our arrival. A plumber wasn't able to fix it permanently last minute, but was able to fix the issue temporarily for our stay. We didn't have access to hot showers during our 3 night stay and only realised the last night that the heat of the water for the shower was only accessible through the handheld shower head rather than the waterfall stationary head. I'm not sure if this is part of the issue or if this is normal. The shades do not close 100%, which makes the lights from the outside shine in until the wee hours of the night due to the abundance of restaurants, cafes, and bars (which most don't close until 1am) This aspect unfortunately disrupted our sleep a bit . The curtains are also sheer and not helpful in that regard either The windows, although new, unfortunately do not block out the very early morning garbage truck, which passes by daily or the party people passing by in the early morning. Pillows could be thicker/ more of them

Loved staying here! Wish I could stay longer

Pros: 10/10 you have to stay here! The bed is so comfy the shower is the best you’ll find in Europe. They think about all the small details like free coffee tea juice lollies etc. great location easy to use buses/trams to get into the city.

Pros: Our room was spacious and welcoming! Bed comfortable, fridge kept things cold. Sig Giulia was great with communication. Location was fantastic!

Beautiful place to stay in Trastevere- complete with small, thoughtful touches

Pros: Absolutely adored our stay at Trastevere Dream House. Our room was beautifully decorated and included so many thoughtful touches, including a sewing kit and some lollies. The bed was super comfy too! Our favourite little touch was the guide book that our host wrote and illustrated herself- which we learnt after bumping into her one morning had only JUST been printed and popped into the room. It had everything from how to order coffees, to must-try foods and places when in Rome, and lots of local tips and tricks for the Trastevere area and surrounds. It was such a lovely and thoughtful little touch which made our stay extra special 😊

Cons: The only thing which could be improved was the way that the shower water seemingly saturated the floor. No matter where I angled the shower head, lowered the pressure, or placed down towels, the floor still got pretty soaked. In saying this, this wasn’t a major issue as it was contained mainly to the shower platform, and it was no biggie to mop it up with one of the towels when needed.

Pros: Very nice location in trastevere and a lovely, clean, and large apartment for a family.

Cons: Noisy AC waking us at night, and issues for regulating the water temperature of the shower, especially at night.
