San Cosimato 40 guesthouse

Pros: Francesca is an excellent host, very helpful and welcoming. She even gave us an upgrade to a bigger room . Will definitely book there again if in trastevere 😁

Pros: Great location for exploring Trastevere and beyond, warm welcome & super helpful team (Francesca), comfy bed, secure and quiet despite being located on the 2nd floor in a shared building. Rome guide and travel adapter stored in the desk drawer were a nice touch, as was the ability to store luggage securely post departure.

Cons: Bathroom extract underpowered/ineffective; bedside socket in our room had a wifi booster plugged into it which would’ve been better placed in an alternate location to enable that socket to be used for phone charging; closer attention to cleaning needed around the bed and in the bathroom.

This was beyond my budget but completely worth it for a luxury wind up to my Italian adventure.

Pros: The location is pretty sublime—right over a local piazza but with sufficient double glazing to be surprisingly quiet. Francesca is the bonus: a solicitous host who is present online to answer all queries, and sometimes in person—this is a guest house not a hotel— and to help organise entry and exit, including booking taxis etc. She is kind, gentle and helpful. I appreciated the selection of herbal tea bags—rare in Italy—and the coffee pods in the room, the hot hot water, the large beautiful room.

Cons: Wifi connection in my room. Everything else, exemplary.

Perfect location with the perfect host!

Pros: Such a gorgeous find! Perfect location for great food. Our favourite area of Rome was Trastevere. Francesca was so caring and kind. She couldn’t have done enough for us. We loved the property and will recommend it to family and friends!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The apartment is in such a lovely, calm part of the city, with many good restaurants around, and on a walking distance from all the main attractions. We didn't even have to use public transportation for any sightseeing, and we saw basically everything we planned and much more. It is very clean, our host Francesca was wonderful, it was so easy to communicate with her before and during the trip. We got coupons for breakfast in a nearby cafe Sicily. You do get the same thing everyday (eggs, bacon, croissant, juice and a cappucino) but we personally loved it! We could leave the luggage at the reception on the last day after the check out which was so helpful. The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a trip and the building is calm and quiet. We highly recommend and would 100% come back!

Great place to stay, great location and staff are very helpful

Pros: Very modern clean room, great host who is very nice and helpful. Great location and very nice part of the city with heaps of restaurants to choose from in this area

Cons: Great place to stay but we stayed for 6 nights and our particular room was a bit small for such a long stay but that is pretty normal for Rome. Breakfast is at a local restaurant ( bakery ) which is fine but again not suitable for an extended stay as its a bit repetitive.

Pros: We had a very pleasent stay at Cosimato guesthouse. The apartment was clean, delicate and had all the things we needed. The host Francesca was very helpful, warm and fixed everything we asked for. The location was perfect, with short distance to many attractions. We warmly recommend San Cosimato 40 guesthouse.

Pros: Everything about the guest house is excellent. You name it, be it cleanliness, location and the facilities. They serve us good breakfast which is at a local Italian cafe. Francesca, our host is a very sweet person and had help us guiding us pertinent to our sightseeing, shopping, transportation, restaurants where we could enjoy good food etc Thank you so much Francesca for all goodness…
