BQ House Castello Luxury Rooms

It is an excellent place to stay if it is the first time you visit Rome.

Pros: It is located in an optimus place to walk through rhe Vatican city and the Rome heart of the city. You can buy food around and it is next to the transfer to Fiumicino airport too. The rooms are comfortable as well as the room service too. You have tea and coffee machines and they provide you capsules and tea bags. Mineral water is there to serve yourself. Blankets and towells are changed each two days.

Pros: Loved the location and the room itself was great with a wonderful view from the balcony. The housekeeping was excellent as was the duty manager who checked us in even though we were a last minute booking. Loved the space, settee area and the fact that there was a safe in the room. Bathroom very clean.

Cons: The room while very clean and spacious with attractive decor is in need of refurbishment at some point.

I really enjoyed our stay.

Pros: The location of the b&b is fantastic. It’s a 3 minute walk from the Vatican and about 20-30 minutes from other landmarks. The room was clean and the staff was really friendly.

Cons: The air conditioning was quite loud at night and the walls are thin because we could hear our neighbours.

Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the bathroom was modern. We appreciated the amenities provided, especially the large bottles of water we could help ourselves too. The location was also perfect (5 minute walk to the Vatican) and the area felt very safe.

Cons: The water pressure in the shower wasn’t very strong.

Unfortunately, the business culture is not good.

Pros: The 3rd floor of a historical building very close to the Vatican. A beautiful facility with a view of the Castle of the Angels. The breakfast was good.

Cons: We made 3 separate room reservations for 3 families and paid through booking.com. However, 1 hour before arriving at the facility, they wrote to us that the 3rd room was not available and that they could give us a room in another facility if we confirmed within 15 minutes. I saw the message by chance and had to make a dangerous decision while driving on the highway. I had to accept. However, they had no right to change a confirmed and paid reservation in this way. They left me in a very difficult situation. Moreover, they did not do anything to compensate. Unfortunately, the business culture is not good.

Great budget property for Rome

Pros: The location is great, right next the Vatican City and up the top of the city for the Trevi Fountain and The Spanish steps. The subway is only about 15 mins away. The neighborhood is very cool, good restaurants and bars. Try Borgo e Friends for drinks (and pizza!). And Terrazza Les Etoiles, for a splurge, overlooking the Vatican. Our host was really helpful and friendly. The room was fine, nothing special, basic, but genuinely all you need. It was nice and big. The photo is the view from our room.

Pros: After picking an awful place on Via Cavour that we managed to leave and cancel after 1 night. We luckily found this place, great location. Good breakfast.

Cons: Shower was a little small

Pros: The structure was right at the center of Rome, well connected with all the transports. Most of the main attraction sites was on walking distance. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us with all of our needs. The bathroom was equipped with modern shower and they also provide hygiene essentials. The breakfast was buffet on the dining with various type of options like cakes and juices. The room was cleaned everyday neatly in the morning. On the day of our departure we also stored the luggage in the structure for free. For the price we paid it was really worth it.
