Weekend Roma
Pros: The apartment is very close to the historical sites to visit.
Cons: The apartment is located on the 3rd floor without an elevator. Access is quite difficult, narrow stairs, difficult for elderly people and those with a lot of luggage. The apartment does not have a balcony. If it is cold, heating is done only with air conditioning.

Super location!
Pros: Wonderful location- it was so lovely to be able to just pop round the corner to the Corcus Maximus and Roman Forum! Light, spacious bedrooms with air con.
Cons: The bedrooms were perfect but the kitchen area was quite small for 5 and could have done with a bit of modernising. An electric kettle would have made a difference in the mornings! Air con in the communal areas would have also been appreciated on such hot days. Otherwise, it worked for us being able to get around Rome so easily.

Lovely apartment in the heart of ancient Rome, would stay here again
Pros: Great location minutes away from the Roman Forum and other landmarks. Apartment was nicely furnished, air conditioned, clean and with reliable albeit not very fast internet. There was an ill-timed Dolce and Gabbana fashion show being held within the forum ruins which impacted our ability to get to and from the main part of the city without taking the long way around the outside, which was frustrating in the 35 degree weather but a one off I'm sure. Highly recommend trying the nearby restaurant In Roma which was superb. Communication with the host was easy and check-in and out very smooth.
Cons: I was vaguely aware of Rome's Tourist Tax which is a per night per person tax of €6. It would have been good to remind us of this this in some of the early communications or on the booking.com page rather than via a WhatsApp message during our stay. Better still, roll it into the price (with a note saying that it includes the tax) rather than requiring cash to be left behind.
