Pros: The apartment is spacious and beautifully furnished in an excellent location. Washing machine was very useful. Host was great - quick to respond to any queries and sent loads of helpful information.

Cons: The kitchen was a disappointment. The unit doors were very rickety and felt like they were going to come off in your hand. The oven was impossible to use despite the instructions that had been sent. The control panel is broken and so you can’t see what you are trying to set. There is no toaster so after trying for 30 minutes to use the grill in the oven we had warm slightly dry bread. There are also no oven dishes. These conditions really let down what would otherwise be a perfect rental.

An excellent holiday with a perfect place to rest.

Pros: Perfect, central location. A beautiful property with all the facilities we needed. The place was beautiful and peaceful. Host was extremely helpful.

Great central location.

Pros: The position in the middle of Rome was fantastic. You can walk to almost everything. Plenty of room. There was a second bathroom. It was very small, but good to have one.

Cons: A few things broken or not working. Main Bathroom a bit mouldy. A little more maintenance would improve things but still a good place to stay. As already mentioned, a lot of stairs after a long day walking.

Great place for family stay

Pros: Really cool apartment. Very stylish. Vaulted lounge amazing . So quiet compared to other places in rome. Location superb. Some reviews complain about the stairs but its very east

Cons: Check out at 1000 was a bit early for us. 1100 would be better. we have teenagers

Lovely apartment close to the centre

Pros: We loved the location of the apartment. It was very spacious inside & had all the facilities one would need.

Cons: The stairs ... very steep & narrow for carrying suitcases up. Also, the apartment was cold, the heating didn't work & there were no extra duvets or blankets provided.

Maison Specchi, Rome

Pros: Fantastic location, central to everything and great market square just 2 mins away. Spacious, funky apartment - we loved the quirky decor. Plenty of room for our family of five. Good sized kitchen and lounge -although with five of us we used fold out bed in lounge.

Cons: Overall we still loved our stay. But, be aware -three flights of steep, narrow stairs are tricky with luggage. One of the two bathrooms/shower is very small -too small for larger adults to use. No air conditioning, so had to leave window open which was noisy, but earplugs solved that. Could do with a few more basic supplies -like dishwasher tablets. This was made worse because the sink plug didnt work. We were told this would be fixed but no one came while we were there.

Great location, spacious apartment.

Pros: Stayed here with my family for a week. The location is amazing. Often times we did not even need to use pubic transport. We could walk almost everywhere. The first night we were a little out of breath climbing the stairs to the apartment, but the second day it already felt like nothing. As a family of 4 with 2 young adults it was very nice to have such a big apartment so we could all have our space to chill after a long day of sightseeing.

Excellent location, very large place.

Pros: We loved the location. It was a big apartment and it was well equipped. Other reviews talked about the stairs but we didn't mind and you would find this in many apartments in Rome.

Cons: There were a/c's in the living room and common room but not in bedrooms. The shower head needs replacing so would improve the pressure.
