Colosseum Comfortable Apartment

Perfect Roman Stay Near the Colosseum!

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the Colosseum Confortabile Apartment from November 8–11. The apartment was exactly as described — clean, spacious, and very comfortable for our group of four. The beds were cozy, the kitchen was well equipped, and everything was spotless. The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk to the Colosseum and close to restaurants, cafes, and public transport. Despite being so central, the apartment was quiet at night, allowing us to rest well after long days of sightseeing. Our host Francisco was exceptionally kind and responsive, providing clear check-in instructions and great local tips. We really appreciated the warm welcome and attention to detail. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. It truly felt like a home away from home! 🇮🇹✨

Cons: Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to leave our luggage in the house until our flight, but Francesco was very kind and helped us find nearby locker facilities where we could store our bags for €1.50 per hour per item. The Place was only about a 5–10 minute walk from the apartment , which was very convenient.

Cons: The doors make a lot of noise when you open and close them. I think this is easy to fix. Everything else was great.

Pros: The location was fantastic—very central and within walking distance of the Colosseum, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The apartment itself was very spacious, providing plenty of room for the four of us (two couples), and it was equipped with most of the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. The host was extremely nice and welcoming, which made us feel special and well taken care of. Overall, it was a great place to stay, especially for its prime location and spaciousness, but a bit more attention to cleanliness and small details would make it even better (please see the other note).

Cons: There were a few minor things missing, like napkins, which meant we had to go out and get some ourselves. The heating was generally okay, though since we visited in December, it did feel a bit chilly at times. The floors were also quite cold, and we hadn't thought to bring slippers, so it would have been helpful to know this in advance. One downside was the cleanliness. At first glance, everything appeared well-maintained, but upon closer inspection, it was clear that the apartment had not been thoroughly cleaned. This might be due to the fact that no one lives there regularly, so upkeep isn’t as consistent as it could be.

Pros: Good location, easy walking distance to busses, subway, restaurants, coliseum, Basilica de San Giovanni. Very spacious with lots of seating. Nice towels.

Cons: Only the bedrooms had AC, it took a while for the living room to cool down. (It was extremely hot in Rome during our stay). We had to turn off 1 AC unit in order to use other high voltage appliances like microwave or blow dryer. A few small conveniences could be added for guests; extra trash bags for kitchen, a cloth to wipe down counters, basic spices (we did have oil and pepper), a long handle lighter for the gas stove ( small lighter provided was not safe for fingers!) Shower drained very slowly.

Pros: Apartment was very spacious and comfortable. Amazing location you could see the coliseum from the front entrance. Close to public transport. Francesco was an amazing host without gave us great tips and a map on arrival and was always available to answer any questions. Fantastic apartment and fantastic host. Thoroughly recommend.
