Suite Borghese 42

Pros: The house was very clean and centrally located. Rocco is a very helpful host and takes great care to meet all your needs. Since we were staying with a baby, we tend to be more cautious, but we didn’t experience even the smallest issue during our stay. I would definitely recommend it.

A spacious home away from home

Pros: The suite was spacious and beautiful. We also couldn't have asked for a better location. When I return to Rome, I'll definitely be staying here again.

Cons: The air-conditioning in the main room made a horrible noise, so we didn't use it. No big deal.

A grand ol' time! The best!

Pros: We had the grandest time and it's certainly not often that you get to live amongst film celebrities! Everything was perfect, sizable and Frederica took care of all our needs. With the Spanish steps close by along with all the high end shops and restaurants, you are guaranteed a great time!

An authentic Roman experience

Pros: The property was larger than we expected and was tastefully decorated to a standard that is unusual for holiday lets. The location is excellent. Major attractions such as Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and Forum, and the Pantheon are within easy walking distance and the Spanish Steps are visible from the front door. The property oozes Rome from the big double wooden external door to the internal marble stair. The bed was very comfortable and the cooking facilities, though basic, were more than adequate. Street noise is well controlled by double glazed windows. An excellent Bistro is situated on the across the street, a small supermarket is approx 100 metres away and 2 ATM's are within 300 metres .

Cons: We set out to embrace and enjoy the differences offered by genuine local accommodation rather than it pick things we don't like. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Suite Borghese 42.

Cons: In general we were satisfied with our stay but some negative points: Loud noise from street. Very uncomfortable bed (double bed asap need a change of mattress, it was like with a pit in a middle where you roll in). For the big bed there where non existant blanket cover just the sheet and on top of it just bed cover not the actual blanket (for us it was wierd). We asked the owner for it but for the whole week stay didn’t receive the missing things) And the other bed was sofa - very loud, it was ok for the kid but not for the grown up. We didn’t need much but it was hard to communicate with the ownwer, it wasn’t clear if they know english language. Kitchen need some more utensils.

A delightful stay in a perfect location. The property is spacious, comfortable and chic.

Pros: An absolutely perfect location, walking distance to all the top sites (The Spanish Steps are literally visible from the front door), with lots of wonderful restaurants and very high end, designer label shops on the doorstep. The beautifully proportioned spacious main room was gorgeous, really nicely decorated with lots of interesting, quirky features. The bed in particular was so comfortable. This is an 18th Century building, the apartment is furnished sympathetically and with flair. In fact I would say it is the very definition of \

Cons: Traffic noise and noise from late-night revellers was quite excessive. The unit is double-glazed, which helped, but it was still enough to disturb our sleep. In fairness, probably no more than you would expect from such a central location, but if you're a light sleeper or dislike traffic noise (as we do) you should at least be aware when booking. That said, if you want to be this central, I doubt you'll get anywhere in a location like this where you won't have noise. The bathroom and in particular the shower would benefit from an upgrade both cosmetically and because it does not drain well, but none of these issues spoiled our enjoyment of Federica's unique apartment. Would we book again if we came back to Rome? yes, in a heartbeat.

Pros: A beautiful property in the heart of Rome's cultural district. Travel back in time and live like the Borghese's, surrounded by books, art and antiques.

Characterful, classy and central appartment. The perfect place and home from home.

Pros: Beautiful apartment in a very central location. We were only in Rome for 24hrs but this provided the perfect base to explore the main sites, eat well and return to relax.
