Monti Colosseum apartment

A great base to explore Rome.

Pros: The property was very spacious and comfortable. The apartment is in a great location within walking distance to the central area of Rome. There are many restaurants and a small convenience store very close. The large windows let in quite a lot of light. We also loved the character of the apartment.

Cons: The lift was out of action when we stayed.

Excellent location and stay in large apartment for 6. Central and easy access to all Rome sites.

Pros: Location was excellent and so central. Not far from central bus and train station. Lovely local traditional cuisine. Apartment perfect for a party of six. .

Pros: The apartment was spacious. We liked that we could do our washing. There were restaurants and attractions within walking distance. We enjoyed having the convenience store below the apartment.

Pros: We loved the location of this apartment, a wonderful street in Monti close to fantastic restaurants and walking distance to the Colosseum as well as other attractions. The host was very friendly and helpful. Airport transfer was organised for us.

Cons: The front bedroom facing the road was very noisy making it difficult to sleep even with ear plugs. Double glazing just that room would make a huge difference.

Pros: Great location, close to transit and restaurants with a grocery store super close by. Walking distance to all of the sites!

Loved the location

Pros: Very spacious rooms with high ceilings. The building is a truly authentic Roman building. Kitchen was well furnished and we appreciated having things like kitchen roll, laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, coffee and sugar provided on arrival. Carrefour mini market next door was convenient. Plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee shops on Via Urbana. Cavour metro 2 minutes walk away.

Cons: The “balcony” is a small terrace that faces into a communal area/residential area and is very ugly and perhaps only good for airing laundry

Pros: Located centrally, walking distance to many attractions and lots of restaurants. With a convenient store only next door. Well equipped kitchen, with dish washer - we made our own simple dinner twice during the stay. It also comes with a washing machine. Most importantly very comfortable beds to retire to after a long day out. Staff (Nina especially) was very helpful and friendly. They always responded to our queries quickly.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Hosts were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Had to replace a bed the morning we came but had the apartment ready in time. Couldn't recommend hosts and apartment enough!

The location is right in the middle of Rome so is perfect to visit all of the attractions.

Pros: The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, most importantly it was very clean. As the building is quite old it has lots of lovely characteristics, high ceilings and tiled floors. We were met at the apartment by Nina to collect the keys, who was very friendly and showed us around and how to use the facilities in the kitchen. The keys are left inside the apartment when leaving.

Cons: There wasn't anything that we didn’t like in the apartment, it was really great, but to add balance, and for anybody thinking of booking up, it is worth adding that the accommodation is situated in a very narrow and very vibrant side street. It is natural to expect a certain amount of noise during the night from the bars and restaurants located below. There is also noise as the street is cleaned during the night which is a good thing. This was not a problem for us but just making anybody aware….after all it is the middle of a city!!! The apartment has a TV for any spare downtime, but note that it doesn't have any English channels, again not a problem.
