Aparthotel Adagio Rome Vatican

Pros: Staff very helpful, kind, courteous and knowledgeable. Hotel access good, good trains and bus stops nearby.

Cons: UK TV channels advertised not available.

Pros: Amazingly spacious apartment with two sofa beds which gave the children and I plenty of space to have some space from each other!

Cons: The breakfast was very mediocre.

Pros: Lovely stay! The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Cons: I didn’t like the breakfast — there weren’t many options, and the food wasn’t very tasty for Italian cuisine

A super convenient location for travelling into Rome.

Pros: Handy access to public transport (train & bus) to access Rome. Staff helpful. Amazing restaurant next door.

Cons: Teeny tiny lift and the air conditioning was a bit smelly.

Lovely hotel, spacious rooms, 20 mins in bus from main attractions

Great stay with good facilities.

Pros: Breakfast was a good variety. Rooms were very large and comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed.

Cons: Shower didn’t stay at temperature and went to scalding hot many times with me or my children in with no way of making it cooler. Very noisy room as near a busy road and workmen/bin men/hotel workers around very early in the morning. Pool had to be booked and there seemed to be many rules to be obeyed.

Very accommodating staff, was able to check in early and is wheelchair friendly

Pros: Just outside of the city, but is right next to a metro to easily get in and out of the city, there are also many shops nearby.

Spacious apartment on the outskirts

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. In the local area can thoroughly recommend Altrogiro restaurant - food was delicious and staff very friendly.

Cons: You have to book 2 hour slots for the swimming pool. This in itself isn't a problem but when you're heading out for a full day of sightseeing at 9am and the pool doesn't open at 10am its a bit tricky to book and also lacks flexibility. Also, slightly further out of the city than we realised. You can get a train but not on the metro line.

Very well equipped and spacious apartment in a quiet part of Rome but still easily accessible

Pros: The apartment was large and very well equipped. There was a full kitchen do could easily prepare meals and store food if needed. There were lots of cupboards in the main bedroom for clothes and storing luggage. There was a very large balcony although it only had a small table and two chairs. It is also right next to the train station so you can get into Rome. The breakfast was nice and had lots of choices. There was also a communal discs downstairs with free water machines and a selection of snacks/drinks to buy. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful.

Cons: Some parts of the room didn’t seem well maintained, for example in the bathroom the mirror had sections peeling off it and the shower tray just seemed old and past its best. A couple of the wardrobes had a very strange strong chemical smell so we didn’t want to put anything in those. The location wasn’t as convenient as I’d hoped it would be - yes it’s next to the train station but once in Rome a lot of the sites are far away from a metro station so we ended up taking taxis more than using the train. The pool booking system was frustrating - I’d booked this apartment specifically so we could cool down in the pool after a morning sightseeing however we only got to use it once in our three day stay. One occasion was due to bad weather, which obviously isn’t the hotels fault but the other times were because the lifeguard said the pool was full. We had to book random time slots and hope that our plans fitted in with that or we just couldn’t get in.

Great for a family of different ages, with a pool, kitchen, air-condition and good transport links.

Pros: The location- we were able to get a regional train(one change) and it was right beside the train station (underground so you don’t hear it). The trains are really cheap and double decker. It is also close to the 990 bus, that takes you over into town. We had a 4 bedroom apartment with a wrap around balcony. This suited us as a family. One bedroom and we were able to separate the beds. A sofa bed that could be a double or two singles.The kitchen was good - with a fridge freezer( we froze bottles of water to carry). Air - conditioning so lovely and cool. The pool was nice. Also a reason we chose this aparthotel, but you need to be organised and book a slot. It did mean that you got seating and it wasn’t overcrowded. There is a restaurant next door that does not appear on the Google maps but it is big, affordable and right next door. There is a supermarket about 5 - 10 minutes walk away.

Cons: As the apartment is for 4 people, it could just do with an extra table and chairs for outside as it was only for two. The microwave turntable did not rotate when it was on.
