Casa Vacanze Zio Gionni

Pros: Affordable and comfortable apartment. All the facilities were good. Clearly the owner cared very much about providing us with the best possible experience.

Staying at Casa Vacanze Zio Gionni was a highlight of our trip to Rome. Amazing host and location!

Pros: We loved this location - close to the metro and major sites, but we didn't feel surrounded by tourists. Apartment was comfortable and spacious for a family of 5. Guiseppe was the highlight of the experience. He made us feel so welcome and even made us dinner when the restaurants were closed. He shared New Year's traditions with us, too. Fantastic stay!

Wonderful stay with very generous and hospitable hosts.

Pros: Our host Giuseppe and his wife were wonderful. They made us feel very at home and greeted us with food and kindness. The apartment was very well set up with everything we needed. It was a great layout and very spacious. We were conveniently located to the metro and tourist sites. I highly recommend.

A wonderful inviting apartment - you feel very much past of Roman life.

Pros: Such a lovely homely apartment provided with love and care from the host Uncle Gionni (Guiseppe). Out is in a quieter part of town so is an escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Rome. The cafe across the road was a delight and provided the best and cheapest coffee and pastries during our whole time in Italy.

Cons: The two single beds are past their use by date and need an upgrade. Not suitable for adults. Being away from the city centre is great but it does mean quite a lot of walking or Ubers to get to the main attractions

Pros: I have never met a kinder more welcoming host absolutely lovely. He treated us as old friends and the food he kindly made us after a long trip was amazing 👏. The liqueur treat was also fabulous thank you so much!! The apartment has a wealth of information on the history of Rome and suggested visitor routes which was also very helpful along with guides to local amenities and restaurants. Local food was amazing. The pizza place on opposite corner was tip top and can also recommend one not far away called Romolo e Remo as was just delicious pasta and Tiramisu!

lovely family stay

Pros: Very good location on very kindly apartment. In apartment nothing bracet. The host is very plesant person. We spent lovely stay with my family, i recommend this apartment, it s Worth spent time.

The Wiederkehrs

Pros: Giovanni, a real gentlemen, friendly warm and very helpfull. The place absolutely fantastic, 2 bedrooms and lounge are spacious and clean, all you need is there even emergency spaghetti and tomatoes if you want to cook. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops and of course gelaterias in the street. Walking distance to the coliseum where you can catch the hop off hop on bus. Public transport practically 5 mins away from apartment.. Lots of information of rome in brochures, maps and dvd's available in many languages to get in to the exlorer mood. Next time I go to roome I am definitely book with Giovanni again. The perfect host. I can highly recommend this place. For location, cleanliness comfort and reasonably priced. Thanks Giovanni for a great time. I give you 5 gold stars, AAA+++ and highly recomend this place.

Homely apartment, comfortable and welcoming!

Pros: A great apartment 10min walk from the Metro. Uncle Gionni was there to greet us, showed us around and even fixed the boiler that decided to be a bit temperamental. The property was clean, homely and comfortable and whilst not decked out super modern, it was interesting, had all the things you needed and none of the stuff you don’t. Plenty of books and guides available, even an umbrella should it start raining!

Cons: Nothing… apart from quite a few flights of stairs… but that’s the absolute worst I can think of!
