Ethnos Relais Vaticano

A very good place to stay for a short time.

Pros: Very helpful management and excellent communication. The room was small but comfortable with a bathroom. It was a bit noisy during workdays, but silent in the evenings and nights. The common room is well equipped with microwave oven and a capsule coffee maker. Nice environment, and good public transport.

Cons: There were no plates or cutlery. The room had a kettle and tea bags with sugar, but no spoons to stir. The common room has a capsule coffee maker with sugar, but it was hard to find something to mix them.

Great room, clean and close to Vatican

Pros: It was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, clean towels, clean bedsheets and well-organized. There is a small kitchen with a microwave, sink, and coffee machine, which was very convenient for us. The only thing we would suggest adding would be utensils and plates, as these were not provided. However, we were able to purchase them at a nearby supermarket, so it wasn’t an issue for us. We were pleasantly surprised by how close the hotel is to the Vatican, just a short walk away. We also walked to the city center a few times. There’s a great café downstairs that is open all day, and just around the corner is another café called Al Papagaio, which serves a delicious breakfast and is also open all day, at about half the price of the cafés near the Vatican with many patisserie options. Well recommended to stay.

Pros: - very clean place, looks freshly renovated - good WiFi and A/C - nice polite staff - nice shared area with a terrace where you can chill in the evening - good neighbourhood, has several supermarkets around, McDonald’s and very good pizza and ice cream places next door

Cons: - Little fridge in the room has water condensate inside and makes strange noise while working - complementary capsules did not fit in the coffee machine (wrong kind😂) - The canalisation pipe in the shower cabin should be cleaned, water does not go through well - I would have 1 shared teapot and fridge in the shared kitchen area instead of individual ones in rooms, so all the cooking would be performed in one place and it would free some space in rooms - Having washing machine, shaving and dental kits, disposable slippers would be nice in the future

Pros: Very helpful,kind hosts room plain but everything we needed we slept really well every night we were there. I would recommend Ethnos as an excellent choice for budget minded travelers.

Cons: Only complaint was that it was a little noisy at times and the shower was rather small.

Pros: Everything was very clean and just like in the photos. Self check-in is simple, breakfast is located in a lovely italian caffe next to the building, great staff, coffee and croissant. We hope we'll be back :)
