Casetta Garbatella

Just the perfect stay at Rome!

Pros: It was just perfect - beautiful flat in a typical Roman neighbourhood. Surrounded by local restaurants, cafes and bars. Close to supermarkets, fresh produce markets and a metro station - 3 stops away from the Colosseum!

Amazing

Pros: The apartment had all the necessary equipment for our stay and had even more than excepted like a washing machine, iron and a coffe machine, that was really appreciated. The rooms were all very clean and tidy and also very spacious, that can easy accommodate 4 people. The beds were comfortable and big enough for 2 people, as well as the sofa- bed. The region of the apartment is amazing, with many options for food and amazing Italian architecture.The metro station was also very close.

Cons: Even though the neibourhood was beautiful and really safe, it wasn't very close to the monuments, except from the colosseo that was 10 minutes by metro. Also, we had to pay for the late check in (50€), but the man waiting for as was really polite and welcomed us with a big smile.

Amazing stay at Garbatella

Pros: We had a truly wonderful stay at Casetta Garbatella. Garbatella is a historic neighborhood and perfect for arhitecture enthusiasts. The area is safe, quiet and beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed for cooking, and the entire place was clean. Our host was warm, welcoming and accomodating.

Pros: Przywitała nas przesympatyczna Ele przyjaciółka właścicieli, opowiedziała o apartamencie, o dzielnicy, doradziła jak najlepiej i z których środków transportu korzystać. Apartament położony w klimatycznej rzymskiej dzielnicy, blisko knajpki z pysznym jedzeniem, dwa autobusy praktycznie pod domem oraz ok 10 min spacerkiem do metro. W apartamencie była osobna sypialnia i rozkładana kanapa w salonie, która była już przygotowana, było czysto, były pościel i ręczniki oraz wszystko co potrzebne do mieszkania. Idealny dla rodziny 2+2. Na bieżąco mieliśmy kontakt zarówno z Ele jak i właścicielami. Bardzo polecam Casetta Garbatella.

Pros: La signora è stata gentilissima e disponibile, ci ha fatto il check in anticipo. Abbiamo trovato la struttura comoda e in una posizione strategica, oltre che pulita e attrezzata. Grazie Antonella e complimenti.

My first trip to Italy: A week in Garbatella

Pros: I liked the neighborhood. How close it was to the metro. The fact that the property had a washing machine. The property was clean and comfortable (sofa bed not as comfortable as the bed in the bedroom). Perfect for myself and my 2 children. Luca was very helpful in getting adapters so that we could charge our electronics.

Cons: I don't know if it was just me and my family, but Antonella was not that helpful and didn't come across as friendly. Firstly, when I asked for information about how to get from the airport, her response sounded as if she didn't know and was guessing about a possible option. It wasn't helpful. I made the mistake of not exchanging my US currency for euros at the airport, I take responsibility. This was my fault. There was so much going on, my brand new suitcase was damaged and I only had 3 wheels, I couldn't figure out the best way to get to the property, I reserved 2 Ubers and they both got canceled, a lot was going on, but I don't want to make excuses, it was my fault. So when Luca came to collect the money for the fees, I erroneously presented him with the US currency. He said he couldn't take it, but told me he would come back the next day to get it once I had an opportunity to go into the city. Antonella did not seem pleased by this and sent me a copy of the contract reminding me that I was to pay on arrival. She also sent several whatsapp messages the next day, which was a Sunday, asking when Luca could pick up the money. Again, I accept responsibility for the error, but the impatient response didn't feel accommodating, especially since she took an entire day to respond to one of my inquiries and only said 'ok' when I told her we would be leaving the property at 6am and would leave the keys on the table. Great property, but the staff, specifically Antonella, could have provided better customer service. But from what I read from the other reviews, this could just be the experience of my family.
