Vatican San Pietro - Giulia House

Fine, spacious place for one or two people in a good location with some lovely welcoming details.

Pros: Quiet, plenty of space and good beds and excellent shower with plenty of hot water. Wardrobe and plenty of shelves and drawers. Many welcoming details such as a selection of teas, a good coffee maker and some muffins.

Cons: The only complaint I would have is that it was a bit damp. The windows could use screens, so that we could open them a bit longer for more ventilation.

Pros: The apartment is located in a quiet area, even though it is only about a 15-minute walk to Vatican City. Matteo was very friendly and helpful. He recommended us a restaurant with the best pistachio croissants we have ever had:). We recommend this accommodation, and next time we are in Rome, we would love to return to this apartment.

Clean, perfect location, lovely host, beautiful city

Pros: First of all , a very lovely host. The location could not be better. 10 Min walk down to S. Pietro and very near to the main attractions in the old city. There is a train station nearby , though we decided to move with E-Scooters. Its a small street up the hill with no traffic and very quiet in the night. Supermarket around the corner. We will be back :)

Very good value for money

Pros: The kitchenette, the staff, the architecture (2 separate rooms), the area (really quiet)

Cons: The shower - the shower faucet was positioned so awkwardly that every time I showered the hose would get caught around it The toilet flush system - is very noisy and the water doesn't stop until you press it a few times.

Pros: Magnificent location, just a few minutes’ walk to St. Peter’s Basilica. Great communication with the owner, Matteo. He personally met us, provided valuable information about staying in Rome, and was always available. The house had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. A bottle of Apulian wine and sweets for the kids were waiting for us in the house. Bonus — a discount on food at the nearby restaurant on the corner. The Carrefour market is just a one-minute walk away. Everything was wonderful. We felt at home. Our daughter cried when we left. Highly recommend. Respect to Matteo.

Convenient to Vatican!

Pros: Good things about Matteo's place: * Matteo himself is a very friendly host and runs a nearby eatery (he offers a discount to guests!), so he was very accessible. * The location is about as close as you can get to the Vatican. * Being on a pedestrian street, the place was very quiet. * Apartment is well equipped for doing light cooking. * There are 2 playgrounds within a few minutes walk.

Cons: Some things to keep in mind: * There are lots of stairs up to Matteo's apartment! (good exercise! Not so great if you have bad knees!). * The photos in the listing are apparently a mix of old and new. The current paint (as of May 2025) is all white. * The bedroom lights + internet router lights are bright white, so we put a pillow in front of the router to block the lights at night.

Pros: Fantastic location, next to the Vatican city. Private and peaceful.

Wonderful

Pros: Loved the owner, Matteo who was very kind and helpful, he gave us all the info we needed on places nearby and ways to get into the city center. The house is very clean and cozy, it's not huge but perfect for two people, it has a very well equipped kitchen and everything you need for breakfasts, plus a spacious bedroom with a big closet and a very nice bathroom with clean towels, soaps and toilet paper rolls.

Cons: The entrance door is a bit weird to open, but the owner explained how to do it perfectly so we didn't have any problems with it. The only thing to take into account is that the apartment is about 40-50 minutes away by bus from the city center, but we didn't find that to be uncomfortable at all.

Accoglienza calorosa

Pros: Abbiamo avuto un'accoglienza eccellente. Hanno avuto accuratezza nei dettagli. Ci hanno riservato un parcheggio e aiutati nello scarico delle valigie. Siamo davvero entusiasti.

Pros: Buona la posizione e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, ci sono solo un po’ di scale da fare prima di arrivare e con una bimba molto piccola non è stato tanto agevole ma per un paio di giorni si può fare.
